Cosmos Glazes Are Out of This World!
AMACO Cosmos Crystalline (CO) Liquid Ceramic Pottery Gloss Glazes for Bisque
Iridescent mid-high fire (Cone 5-6) AMACO Cosmos Crystalline (CO) Glazes exhibit unique and captivating visual effects reminiscent of cosmic or otherworldly phenomena. They're meticulously crafted to capture the mesmerizing beauty of crystalline glazes in every brushstroke, right out of the jar. Transform your pottery into celestial masterpieces that sparkle with the brilliance of distant galaxies. Crystals will develop on both horizontal and vertical clay surfaces; vertical surfaces will encourage running.
- Apply 4 coats to Cone 04 bisque, then fire to Cone 5-6.
- CO-07 Solar Flare, CO-08 Dark Star, CO-14 Solar Rainbow, CO-21 Galactic Glacier, and CO-24 Blue Starlight perform best at Cone 6 but can be fired to Cone 5; CO-06 Supernova performs best at Cone 5 but can be fired to Cone 6.
- Normal medium-speed firing with no special cooling schedule required; use a controlled cooling scheduled for increased crystal growth.
- Leave inside or back of form unglazed to avoid pinholing; if glazing a piece all the way to the end of the foot, use a drip tray to protect kiln shelves.
- Not recommended for surfaces which come into contact with food and drink due to durability.
Create Celestial Masterpieces That Sparkle!

CO-08 Dark Star
