Approximate predictive times are 4–6 seconds for oral measurements, 10–13 seconds for pediatric axillary measurements, and 12–15 seconds for adult axillary measurements. A large LCD presents temperature and mode information, while Fahrenheit/Celsius selection, last-reading recall, and a battery indicator make the controls easy to access. The removable probe well is designed for cleaning according to the manufacturer's instructions. The thermometer has storage space for 25 probe covers, and the wall mount provides room for 50 additional covers. The unit operates on three 1.5 V AA batteries.
