But I could never find a book that is easy to read with kid friendly explanations, detailed pictures AND characters of color…until now! Andy Amendola has written a STEM book, complete with Roxy, a female engineer that takes readers on a journey explaining the inner workings of F1 cars. With Wei Ren’s bold and colorful illustrations and real photos children (and adults alike) can learn fun facts and STEM facts about an underrepresented sport. There is a glossary to help further explain certain concepts and a coloring page for young artists to explore how they would design their own F1. I have used this book in and out of the classroom to support experiments and better explain how cars run (fast)!"
