The result is a familiar layout with some next generation improvements, including a high-torque direct drive system, multi-pitch control, club-grade build and sound quality, and detachable power and audio cables. The high-torque direct drive ensures stable rotation and great control, and with a starting torque of 4.5kg/cm, it achieves 33⅓ rpm in just 0.3 seconds. The heavy-mass, die-cast zinc chassis of the PLX-1000 eliminates resonance and vibrations. The bottom of the unit is reinforced with 8mm thick resin and 9mm thick vibration-damping material. Furthermore, the rubber-insulated tone arm lowers howling effects, while rubber and springs on the insulator's dampening sections absorb external vibrations. The multi-tempo control allows you to immediately speed up or slow down the track to 8%, 16%, or 50%, while a simple reset button returns it to 0%. Power and audio cables are easily interchangeable, and pro-grade gold-plated RCA plugs provide low impedance and excellent sound quality.
