Odysea Greek pine & fir tree honey is extracted cold and only very minimally filtered so that the beneficial properties of the nectar and pollen remain. Raw in its nature, our honey is produced by Alexandros Gousiaris, an artisan beekeeper in the small village of Ilias, central Greece. Alexandros ensures his bees are protected during the winter and moves them during the spring and summer to areas where conifers grown in abundance. This honey has been awarded with 2 stars by The Great Taste Awards for three years. Judges commenting on the honey said “A luscious dark golden colour with a gorgeous waxy consistency. We loved the subtle pine and fir flavours, the perfect level of sweetness, the hint of saltiness, the sheer sexiness of this honey. Complex, fascinating and 3 dimensional”. Odysea Pine & Fir Tree honey is 29% naturally lower is sugar compared to other supermarket brands according to the results of “Action on Sugar” at Queen Mary’s University of London analysis, published on March 2019. On occasions the honey may crystallise, this is nothing to worry about, in fact its a clear sign of a natural, unprocessed product as only pure honey will do this. To melt the crystals simply place in a bowl of warm water.
