The author is an Electrical Training Consultant with 38 years experience with BP Hull, seven of those years as their site Instrument/Electrical Training Officer and after retirement 16 years as a Electrical Training Consultant carrying out Training and Assessing for the Complex Scheme at Humberside Off shore Training Association ( H O T A)

I am an Electrical Training Consultant and carry out Electrical Training for a company in Hull by the name of Humberside Offshore Training Association Ltd. (H.O.T.A.), Malmo Road, who, by the way, is one of my sponsors. Before my fifteen or so years at H.O.T.A. as a Trainer /Assessor I spent thirty-eight years with BP; seven of those as their Instrument/Electrical Training Officer in charge of all Instrument and Electrical Training and part of their Team in their Training Department where I obtained my Training and Assessing Qualifications.
