Welcome back to Luna Lapin's little world, we are thrilled to see you once again. As this is our fourth book (making myself and Grace the proud authors of a tetralogy!), you probably know what to expect - endearing little characters, enchanting stories and page after page of exquisitely tailored clothing using real dressmaking techniques.

Since we last spoke, the world looks a little different: 2020 and 2021 were difficult years because of the pandemic. In the face of something really quite scary, our community grew. In isolation we found that people were looking for something to help them connect - and Luna and her friends enabled them to do just that. In our last book, we talked about how Luna is becoming a byword for kindness and I feel that this has never been more true. Luna will find you when you need her, she will soothe you with stitches, inspire you with her wardrobe and teach you, not only new techniques, but about friendship and love.

If this is your first foray into the Luna Lapin series, let us introduce Luna - this wool felt rabbit is quiet and kind with a love of beautiful clothes. Once born, she will request, very politely, a new wardrobe and new friends. Luna will make you feel connected, you will enjoy the sewing journey, and some part of you might change because of Luna. There's a little bit of magic in this rabbity hare. Take your time to read the instructions; reach out to our inspirational and supportive Facebook group, Luna Lapin's Little World, if you need a hand; and most of all, just enjoy slowing down and making.

If you have been with us a little while, you might recognise some of these designs from our Luna Lapin's Creative Year series, such as Luna's Skating Coat or Dora's Apple-picking Pinny, or the friends that joined us in what turned out to be an incredibly creative period of our lives. I say 'our' because Grace officially joined the family business in 2020, and together we plan to keep building an inspiring space filled with creativity and good ideas and a little touch of magic - exactly what the business CoolCrafting was set up to do all those years ago in 2011.

If you have someone, young or old, to share your sewing skills with, do it now - it's important! Think about the joy you can pass on by helping someone make Luna or her friends, the new relationship you will build. Part of Luna's magic is in the stitching, but the rest is in the sharing. We want to keep the joy of sewing alive, so we implore you to pass on your learning to a friend or a member of your family.
